Step-by-Step Guide to Create the CSS Heart Animation
Creating the Blinking Heart
We’ll start by creating a large heart that stays centered on the page. This heart will have a subtle blinking effect. To achieve the glowing blur effect, we’ll add a border blur to make the heart pop out.
In your CSS, you can use the following code to Creating the Blinking Heart:
.heart { width: 150px; height: 150px; background-color: red; clip-path: polygon(50% 0%, 0% 40%, 50% 100%, 100% 40%); animation: blink 1s infinite alternate; border: 4px solid rgba(255, 0, 0, 0.6); border-radius: 50%; filter: blur(3px); } @keyframes blink { 0% { transform: scale(1); opacity: 0.9; } 100% { transform: scale(1.1); opacity: 1; } } Falling Hearts Effect
Next, we add small hearts that fall behind the large heart. These hearts will fall from the top of the page and decrease in size as they approach the bottom.
In your CSS, you can create the animation for the falling hearts as follows:
.falling-heart { width: 30px; height: 30px; background-color: pink; clip-path: polygon(50% 0%, 0% 40%, 50% 100%, 100% 40%); position: absolute; top: -100px; animation: fall 4s linear infinite, blink 2s infinite alternate; } @keyframes fall { 0% { top: -100px; opacity: 1; } 100% { top: 100%; opacity: 0; } }
As the hearts fall, they will blink with a soft effect, and their speed and size will change dynamically. The blur effect will give them a dreamy, gentle look.
Musical Line Animation
To create a musical line effect, we use a set of lines that move up and down to mimic the feel of sound waves or an equalizer. Here’s how you can create it:
In the CSS, we can create the effect by animating the height of these lines:
.music-line { width: 100%; height: 5px; background-color: white; position: absolute; top: 10px; animation: music 1s ease-in-out infinite alternate; } @keyframes music { 0% { height: 5px; } 50% { height: 10px; } 100% { height: 5px; } }
Make the Heart Glow
You can adjust the heart glow using the filter property, making it look like it’s shining softly.
